After feeling tired of the same old breakfast foods recently, today I decided to look through some books I had to see if I could find anything else to make with the limited ingredients that I had. Jason had just brought an apple home when I stumbled across GERMAN APPLE PANCAKE(s?).

OMG!!

It (they?) were soooo good. It's like one big pancake, baked in a skillet in the oven for 25 minutes. The pancake itself has no sugar or butter or anything in it. Then while that's cooking, you melt butter and sugar and cinnamon together and cook apples in it and then pour it over the top of the big pancake when it comes out. And then you slice it into wedges like a pizza. I had never even heard of such a thing before. But it was SO GOOD OMG I'm going to make it forever and ever. And the great thing is, it's healthier for you than regular pancakes, but because of the amazing use of apples it is way sweeter and you don't have to use any gross processed junk (like maple syrup). SCORE!!

They are! Easy to make too. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees. Heat up a 10" or 12" skillet with some butter in it (like a tablespoon and a half I guess?). Then pour this mixture in:
3/4 cup flour
3/4 cup milk
3 eggs
pinch of salt
And then immediately pop it into the oven, bake for 15 minutes; turn it down to 350 and bake it for 10 more minutes. When you take it out have...
4 tablespoons of butter
1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
however many apples you want, sliced & peeled
...and just pour it on top and eat it. I was surprised at how easy it was! The hardest part was peeling the stupid apple!

I saw a pancake made similar to that a little while ago on one of those cooking shows on the Food Network.
It looked so yummy and I've wanted to make one ever since!
